Burton Perlman was a bankruptcy judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Southern District of Ohio. He began his service on the bankruptcy bench in 1976 and from 1986-1993 he served as Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District.[1][2]

Education and early life

Perlman served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1944-1946. In 1945 he earned his Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Engineering in 1947 from Yale University and his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Michigan Law School in 1952.[1][2][3]

Career

Judge Perlman served as a U.S. Magistrate for the Southern District of Ohio from 1971-1976. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Cincinnati Law School.[1][2]
