Butch Calhoun
Butch Calhoun is the former Arkansas Secretary of Agriculture. Calhoun was appointed to this position by the Arkansas Agriculture Board on June 27, 2012.[1] He tendered his resignation effective December 31, 2014, in a letter to then-Gov. Mike Beebe (D) in October 2014.[2]
Biography
Calhoun previously served four terms in the Arkansas House of Representatives and five terms as a Prairie County Judge. He was serving as director of the Arkansas Department of Rural Services when he was appointed as secretary in 2012.[3]
Calhoun has also served as Chairman of the Central Arkansas Solid Waste District and Vice-Chairman of Central Arkansas Planning and Development District. He was a farmer for over 30 years.[4]

Arkansas Director of Rural Services (2007-2012)
Calhoun served as Director of the Department of Rural Services from 2007 until his appointment as secretary of agriculture.[4]
