By the numbers: Comparing West Virginia's attorney general candidates

CHARLESTON, West Virginia: This year's attorney general election in West Virginia is proving to be a hot race to watch. Incumbent Darrell McGraw (D), who was first elected to the office in 1992, is being challenged by Patrick Morrisey, a health care attorney who has been practicing law since 1992.

Both candidates were unopposed in their primary races and have been gearing up for a tough fight in the general election. McGraw has name recognition on his side, but Morrisey has a clear fundraising advantage. Since the first filing deadline for campaign finance reports on April 9th, Morrissey has outspent McGraw more than 7 to 1, and he has more than double the amount of money McGraw has at the ready.
