Organizers served Mote with a notice of intention to circulate a recall petition on June 20, 2022.[1]
For a special recall election to have been scheduled, organizers needed to collect signatures from 30% of registered district voters.[3] The recall did not qualify for the ballot after 183 of the 197 signatures submitted by organizers were found to be sufficient.[4]
