My name is C.D. Mayfield, and I’m a lifelong public servant who believes government should be fair, accountable, and consistent for everyone. I’m a Marine Corps veteran and have spent more than 27 years serving the City of Allen in Collin County as a peace officer, supervisor, and investigator. Over my career, I’ve worked everything from patrol to major investigations, and I’ve earned multiple professional awards for leadership and performance.

I’m running for Justice of the Peace because I believe the court should operate with integrity, efficiency, and equal application of the law. I’ve spent my career making real-world decisions under pressure, working with victims, families, and everyday citizens, and I understand how much courtroom outcomes impact people’s lives. I’m committed to bringing experience, steady judgment, and common sense to the bench.

I’m also a husband, father, and grandfather, and family is central to who I am. I care deeply about serving this community the right way—with respect, transparency, and professionalism.
  • Marine Corps veteran with more than 27 years of law enforcement experience serving the community, including supervisory and investigative work.
  • A commitment to equal application of the law, professionalism, and treating every person who enters the court with dignity and respect.
  • Focused on clear communication, timely case processing, and responsible court operations that serve both citizens and law enforcement.
I’m most passionate about fairness, accountability, and making sure the Justice of the Peace court runs efficiently and respectfully for everyone involved. Since a large portion of JP court is civil—especially eviction cases—I care about ensuring those cases are handled promptly, consistently, and according to the law.
Evictions impact real people on both sides, and the court should treat tenants and property owners with dignity, keep the process clear, and make sure everyone understands their rights and responsibilities. My goal is a court that is professional, well-run, and focused on timely resolution and equal application of the law.
I have received endorsements from several precinct chairs, members of the public, and elected officials. I will continue updating this list as additional endorsements are received and confirmed.

CD Mayfield is running to earn your vote for Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace. He’s running as a veteran who served his country

and fought to protect its position in the free world. He’s running as a career law enforcement professional who knows the justice system and who knows how it should work. He’s running as a life-long Texan who understands the North Texas way of life. He’s running as a conservative with a value system that reflects that. He’s running as a father of a deployed U.S. Marine

and the husband of a police dispatcher. He’s running with the experiences behind him to make justice work for us in Precinct 1.
  • I have a time proven work ethic.
  • I am a firm believer of the saying, it is easier to defend action rather than no action.
  • As Dwight Eisenhower once said. The supreme quality for leadership is unquestionably integrity. Without it, no real success is possible, no matter whether it is on a section gang, a football field, in an army, or in an office.
With the Justice of the Peace Court, I am passionate about mentoring juveniles that come to this court.
At the age of twelve I remember the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster. My class was not watching it live, but everyone was talking about it between classes.
At the age of 14, I was a newspaper delivery boy for the Tacoma News Tribune, I had the job for about a year before we moved back to Texas.
