C. David Umphlett, Jr.
C. David Umphlett, Jr. (b. May 4, 1942) was a Republican member of the South Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 100. Umphlett died on May 29, 2011 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.[1] He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, and their three children.[2]
Umphlett attended Clemson University. He served in the United States Military from 1961 to 1964. He then worked as Vice President of Government and Consumer Affairs for Berkeley Electric Co-Op Incorporated before retiring.
Umphlett joined the South Carolina State House of Representatives in 2003, representing District 100
