C. Kathryn Preston is a bankruptcy judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Southern District of Ohio. She was appointed to the bankruptcy bench on October 11, 2005.[1]

Education

Judge Preston attended college at Stetson University in Deland, Florida and earned her J.D. at Stetson College of Law in St. Petersburg.[2][1]

Career

Preston served as law clerk to the Honorable Alexander L. Paskay who was, at that time, the Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the Middle District of Florida in Tampa, and later as law clerk to the Honorable Donald E. Calhoun, Jr., Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of Ohio. While not on the bench Preston joined the boutique law firm of Stichter & Riedel, P.A., where she practiced exclusively bankruptcy law, representing debtors, creditors and other parties in interest in of bankruptcy proceedings. After serving with Judge Calhoun's chambers, she joined The Huntington National Bank, where she practiced law in the areas of banking, business, and creditors' rights.[1]
