C. Philip Ginn
C. Philip Ginn was a superior court judge for the 24th Judicial District of the Eighth Division of the Superior Court, which presides over Avery, Madison, Mitchell, Watauga, and Yancey counties in North Carolina. He served as a judge for the court from 2003 until his retirement from the bench on December 31, 2014.[1][2][3]
Education
Ginn received his undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University and his J.D. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.[4]
Career
Before he became a superior court judge for the 24th Judicial District, Ginn worked as an attorney in private practice. He also previously served as a district court judge for the 24th Judicial District from September 1981 until April 1991.[3]
Elections
2010
Ginn was re-elected to the 24th Judicial District in the general election, winning 38.69 percent of the vote.[5]
