C. Stephen Hackeling is a judge for the District Court of Suffolk County in New York.[1] He was appointed to this position in 2002.[2]

Hackeling was re-elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that expires on December 31, 2020.[3]

Hackeling ran for re-election to the Suffolk County District Court.
Primary: He faced Jim Matthews, Paul H. Senzer, Walter D. Long, Jr., Patricia Grant Flynn and incumbent Paul Hensley in the primary on September 9, 2014. Hackeling cross-filed for the Conservative, Working Families and Independence party lines. He won in the Independence primary with 18.3 percent of the vote, but lost in the other primaries. 
General: He faced incumbent Paul Hensley, Paul H. Senzer, Jim Matthews and Patricia Grant Flynn in the general election on November 4, 2014, and won with 19.1 percent of the vote. Candidates competed for three open seats. [3][4] 

Education

Hackeling received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He went on to earn his J.D. from Albany Law School.[5]
