This measure sought to increase the current school levy by a rate of $0.5852 per $1,000 of assessed property value in order to help fund special education programs, operational costs and other budget needs in the districts. A similar measure was on the May ballot, but was rejected by residents. The school in the district voted to put this measure on the November ballot for another try in the hopes that more residents would see the school's needs and support the increase.[2]
