The District 7 seat on the Caddo Parish Public Schools school board in Louisiana was scheduled to be up for special election in 2024. A primary was expected to take place on March 23, 2024. A general election, if needed, was scheduled for April 27, 2024. Both election dates were canceled after Barbara Smith-Iverson was disqualified, leaving Darrin Dixon unopposed. Dixon won the election outright without appearing on the ballot.[1] The filing deadline for this election was December 15, 2023.

District 7
Louisiana elections use the majority-vote system. All candidates compete in the same primary, and a candidate can win the election outright by receiving more than 50 percent of the vote. If no candidate does, the top two vote recipients from the primary advance to the general election, regardless of their partisan affiliation.

The primary election was canceled. Darrin Dixon (D) won the election without appearing on the ballot.
