I'm just a kid raised in Montana looking to make a difference. I believe a young, conservative voice is what's needed to make a difference in the legislature. My constituents needs are my goal and I'll fight every day to accomplish them.
Wildlife management, resource management, public lands protection/expansion, gun rights, hunter rights, pro-life, pro-constitution, and a balanced budget in government
Ron Paul is someone I look up to. Always was bold and never compromised his ideals for the sake of politics.
Rene Descartes' "Discourse on the Method of Rightly Conducting One's Reason and of Seeking Truth in the Sciences" and Niccolò Machiavelli's "The Prince"
Honesty, compassionate, compliant, reasonable, knowledgeable, determined, and passionate
I'm honest and transparent, very rare in politicians. I am willing to work with many, but won't let anything stand in the way of my goals for my constituents and district. I am a hard worker who has a hard time stopping, even past hours. I am knowledgeable in government, I've seen the game of politics and I know how to play it without compromising my values. I am someone who will definitely be the loudest voice in the legislature and will be hard to drown out. I will have a consistent conservative voting record to say the least.
To execute the will and goals of their constituents to improve the area they live in and protect it. To also protect the rights of each constituent and stand up against those that attack those rights.
That I did the most for my constituents than any other politician can dream of. That I stood up against party politics and set the standard for how a good legislator works. That I always keep my promises or die trying.
My first job was working for the city watering the flowers for a decent wage in the summer. I was in Jr. High school when I had it.
War and Peace. It is a great contrast from the general view of society/civilization to the nature of us as human beings and what we do.
Living through an impoverished life and going back and forth from that to a low middle-class life. To have to earn everything that I hold as mine and learn to appreciate the little things in life.
The senate and house in my state have a decent respect for one another in general. The house usually holds the duty of introducing most bills and the senate works hand-in-hand to sift through each bill and make sure it will work for everyone.
Not really. Sure experience gets you a reputation to have a consistent voting record with your constituents. However, if you really want to change something for the better, you have to have the passion and will-power to get that change done. No amount of experience will ever push what is needed to be an active politician.
Negotiating with the federal government to give fellow Montanans easier access to resources associated with public federal lands. I believe great negotiation with the federal government can lead to a peaceful co-existence of management of these lands between both governments.
The governor definitely has the right to stop any legislation that constitutionally or otherwise interferes with Montanans rights. The legislature also has the right to pass legislation that provides constitutionally for the betterment of the people. The governor should respect the will of the people influencing the legislature as well.
Yes. Although I don't compromise on my ideals, I can actually be someone that everyone can still work and negotiate with. Regardless of party, I want to work with everyone that's willing to get legislation done correctly. Communication and great relationships beyond party politics is what I find necessary to good government. You can't get far being stubborn with many enemies.
I'm pretty flexible on committees, I just want to be active in any committee given to me.
Yes. Even if I change my party or combine with another party, I'd accept a leadership role. Any role would be just fine.
The wolves. I've heard too many terrible stories of wasteful killings done by wolves on wild game and domesticated animals. FWP has done too much damage with their lenient "reintroduction" phases.
