A Calaveras County Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program, Measure B ballot question was on the November 6, 2012, ballot for voters in Calaveras County, where it was approved.[1]
Measure B renewed the existing "Calaveras County Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program" for another ten years. The program involves charging a $1.00/vehicle fee on vehicles in the county; the fee is $2.00/year for some commercial vehicles. This money goes to pay for the county's costs in removing and disposing of abandoned and wrecked vehicles.[2]
The program was first launched in 1991.
