The California Governor to President Initiative did not make the ballot in California on November 8, 2016, as an initiated constitutional amendment.

The ballot initiative was proposed by Sovereign California.

Sovereign California proposed a "Devolution" Panel Initiative in 2016. The organization also supported the Resident Deportation Ban Initiative. In early 2015, Sovereign California planned to propose multiple ballot initiatives in the future “seeking to redefine the relationship between the United States and the California Republic.”[2]
