Our young people deserve the best education available in 2022. I support school choice and parent choice.

I want to prioritize mental health and improve access to mental health care services for all.

Housing affordability and homelessness worsened in recent years. I hope to collaborate with public and private organizations to implement effective change.
Housing: Everyone needs an affordable place to live. That’s why as Mayor, I built a diverse housing portfolio, from affordable to high-end housing, building near transit centers to reduce commutes, and so young families can build roots in the area.

Healthcare & Mental Health: I'll fight for investments in mental health, and will expand affordable health coverage to make sure everyone in California has access to the care they need to live healthy and productive lives.

Quality of Life: I'll look for ways to improve the quality of life for everyone, from education, climate, childcare, etc. Everyone has a right to a high quality of life and to define what that looks like for them. My job is help make it possible.

Education

I support the rights of parents to choose the best educational path for their children and will look for opportunities to expand school choice, while working to improve our public schools. I want to ensure every deserving student ease of access to an IEP.

Mental Health The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated adverse mental health in California. I will work with federal, state, and local government and non-profits to ensure every resident of the district access to appropriate and timely mental health care.

Aging Community The elderly in our community deserve respect and dignity throughout their lives.

Veterans Assembly District 11 is the proud home to over 33,000 veterans. Those who committed to serve our country deserve full access to quality healthcare, gainful employment, appropriate education, and affordable housing.

Public Safety Cities across California experienced an increase in crime. My goal is to work in collaboration with community leaders and the police department to ensure justice for victims and accountability in policing.

I am passionate about Housing, Mental Health, and all issues impacting Quality of Life. I believe everyone has a right to a high quality of life, everyone has a right to define what that looks like for themselves, and my job is to facilitate that. Quality of Life issues touch on everything, from education, to transportation, to the environment, to banking, to childcare, to education, and the list goes on and on.

When I was 16 I worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Davis, CA, until I joined the US Army at 17. During my KFC experience I learned customer service and the value of hard work. The lunch and dinner rushes require teamwork, communication, and efficiency that I had only previously experienced while playing sports. Those values were an asset that better prepared me for time in the military.
Yes, it has been said "It's not what is best for you, or even what it best for me, but it is what is best for the situation."
