The California Stockholder Liability Amendment, also known as Amendment 33, was on the ballot in California on November 3, 1908, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The measure provided that a stockholder be liable for a proportion of a corporation's debts contracted during the time he was a stockholder.[1][2]
