  • The economy and affordability are central to my platform. I support Giving Texans Freedom of Movement through Public Transportation and High Speed Rail. I support Reviving Main Street. I support Installing High Speed Internet in every home. I support a Stairstep Franchise Tax 0.37/0.75% to 2.5%. I support Eliminating Hedge Fund Purchases of Homes in Texas. And finally, I support Improving Government Efficiency through Waste Reduction Audits and Process Improvement Projects
  • My second key message is Education. I support Re-instating Teacher Worker Protections. I support Requiring a Budget for Teacher School Supplies from School Budgets. I support Raising Teacher Minimum Salary and Paying their Pension. Finally, I support encouraging Retirement for Teachers over the Retirement Age. Many teachers in Texas have not yet retired due to not being able to live off their retirement payment, whether they have 20 years of service or 30. By increasing the state multiplier and contributing a portion of the state budget to the pension fund, retired teachers can afford to retire comfortably, while also creating jobs for new graduates in Texas.
  • My third key message is on Energy. We must protect Texan Energy. First, I support Increasing Battery Storage capacity. Current Texas Grid battery capacity is roughly 12 Gigawatts hours, and aggressive expansion is needed to meet rising energy fluctuation and consistent loads. I support Increasing Maintenance Regulation requirements. The Texas power crisis of 2021 was due to failure to properly maintain power generation plants. Stricter regulation will require more thorough and regular checks to prevent this from occurring again. And finally, I support Investing in Transmission Infrastructure. Our power transmission infrastructure is outdated, and it will need to be expanded to meet the needs of our growing population.
For too long Texas has been divided by culture war distractions, instead of focusing on how to benefit the every day lives of Texans. There are so many important issues at hand in modern politics that people have strong beliefs about. Unfortunately, most Texans are experiencing job instability, stagnant wages, and a lack of connection to others. This is why I plan to tackle the problems plaguing most of us on a daily basis through connecting Texas through power grid renovations, high speed internet availability, education salary reforms and free community college, better public transportation, and through reducing the cost of living and increasing wages.
