The Campaign Finance Institute (CFI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Washington, D.C. It is a nonpartisan think tank that conducts peer-reviewed research on campaign finance in the United States.[1]

History and work

Founded in 1999 and describing itself as "the nation’s pre-eminent think tank for campaign finance policy," the Campaign Finance Institute publishes its work in peer-reviewed academic journals and in other forms referenced by policy makers and the media. The institute maintains a large bibliography of campaign finance research and makes that and other tools freely available to the public.[1]
