This measure sought to replace an expiring levy with one set at a rate of $.42 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a continuing period of time in order to help pay for operation and maintenance costs of the pool facility.[2] The current levy which funds the community pool will expire in June 2012 and this measure was going to expand the existing tax base but levy the same rate in order to maintain services. The additional funds would have gone towards the community center's operational costs.[3]
