COLUMBIA, South Carolina: A number of candidates have already declared to run in the primary against U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R) in the 2014 South Carolina U.S. Senate primary.
In the last several weeks, three Republican candidates have declared for the seat.
- Nancy Mace: Charleston businesswoman and the first female graduate from the Citadel[1]
- Lee Bright: Current State Senator[2]
- In addition, businessman Richard Cash has been rumored as a candidate.[2]
Graham was first elected in 2002. He won re-election in 2008 by more than 15 points. Graham has emphasized his "social conservative and fiscal conservative" beliefs, calling it the "future of the Republican Party."[3]
