Candidates line up for Montgomery County Circuit Court seat

Maryland: 11 candidates are seeking to replace retired Judge Durke G. Thompson on the Maryland Sixth Circuit Court in Montgomery County. The judicial nominating commission, after interviewing the following applicants, will meet on September 27th to make their selections of which candidates to send to the Governor for consideration. The Governor will then make the final appointment.

The applicants are:
Judges of the 6th District Court:

• James B. Sarsfield
• William G. Simmons

Master in the 6th Circuit Court's Family Division:

• Joan E. Ryan

Montgomery County Public Defender:

• Brian D. Shefferman
