Candyce Perret received her bachelor's degree from the University of Denver and her J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law.[1]

Perret filed to run in 2017 for the seat on the Louisiana Third Circuit Court of Appeal vacated by James Genovese.[2] She faced Susan Theall and Vanessa Waguespack Anseman on March 25, 2017. Perret and Theall defeated Anseman and advanced to the April 29 general election, where she defeated Theall.
