Canyon County Jail Bond (November 2009)
The Canyon County Jail Bond measure was on the November 3 ballot in Canyon County.
This measure sought to create a bond in the amount of $46 million in order to build and facilitate a new county jail. This was proposed because the current jail is over crowded and old needed facility repairs. The bond would be funded by an additional tax added onto county resident's property taxes.[1]
