A Cape Girardeau School District No. 63 Bond Measure was on the April 6, 2010 ballot in school district number 63 in Cape Girardeau County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 3,585 (61.26%)Approveda
  • NO 2,267 (38.74%)[1]

School officials were glad for the outcome and felt the burden of making the plans move forward with voter approval. The last school bonds were approved in 2000.[2]

This measure sought to create a bond in the amount of $40,000,000 in order to help construct, furnish and renovate school buildings in the district. Local property taxes would not increase if the measure was approved.[3]
