Small Business Owner of Avista Products. Publisher and Producer of the National award winning Blackbook Directory and Yearbook and Black Video News. For over 28 years i have sacrificed and produced services to enhance my community. From the small business, healthcare providers, faith based community to arts and culture. I have implemented strategies some successful some failures. I am willing to take the gamble in providing solutions for a better community. I believe Knowledge Alone does not motivate behavior! I seek others in need, identify if I can help and ask if they want my help! If provided the opportunity to help I use all my resources to provide positive outcomes and measurable growth. I can assume my 28 years show my stability and accountability. I believe investing in people will help us build a better community.
  • Establishing Quality of Life Standards
  • Communicate to the community by any means necessary! Mailers, Radio, TV and Internet
  • Light up the district! District 2 is the darkest district in the county.
My plan to light up the community is part physically cosmetic and mental shifting of ideas. We plan to install over 3,000 homes with curbside numbers in the first 100 days in office. From Police/Fire emergencies to uber deliveries. If we cant find you we cant help you. With better street lights crime and safety will prosper.

We also plan to develop a community dashboard to help with a concentration of information. Crime hotspots will be identified in real time, sex offenders will be identified, arts and culture information can be submitted, job posting and neighborhood welcomes will be celebrated.
Small business will be indexed for potential subcontracting opportunities with the city and county. FAQ's will be a supplement to phone calls receive to the district office. Not every call needs a return phone call if the FAQ answers the question or concerns of that individual.
Energy and community resources are needed to provide reservoirs for clean drinking water and battery power storage in case of an emergency.

My strategy to fight the school to prison pipeline is to identify future ambassadors with mentorship, accountability, apprentice and entrepreneurship. The goal is draft 25 individuals in the community at a cost of $480,000 per year. Together with our community stakeholders we can fund this program with a partial city supplement. With an average cost of $20,000 per year it is allot cheaper than $60,000 per year cost for prisoners. Working collectively we can win!
Police Accountability and Justice Reform is a documented problem. Redlining, the loopholes of the 14th amendment has not made it a level playing field. (I) We need a seat at the table to make sure questions are ask and considered for positive outcomes.
Bob Johnson BET Founder. Mr. Johnson believed in providing a vehicle to communicate to a mass of African American who did not have a voice and did not have an outlet to express themselves on a frequent bases. Part of my obligation to run is to be obedient to God's plan for me. Listen and follow directions and identify pathways to success.
My favorite movie is New Jack City. But the film that best represent my philosophy is Jerry Maguire. Have to be willing to stand up for something. Additionally i reference Plato's Allegory of the cave. I am here to rescue my community.
Accountability to the community is priority number one. Providing pathways to success where others see none.
I believe the products and services i have developed will live on well after i am gone.
SeaWorld Education Specialist. 2 years
Bible! Keeps me focused
My biggest struggle has been time management and lack of capital to implement strategies for the betterment of my clients and community.
The powers of the office is what you make it. I can make phone calls now, but with the city council attached make for a better response time. The messenger does matter.
It is good to have previous experience in government but it does not mean you know how to conduct business and receive measurable feedback.
The expertise required for the office require adaptability and creativity. A willingness to listen to community needs and provide strategies to improve overall quality of life solutions.
