Carl C. Danberg is the chief judge for the Court of Common Pleas in New Castle County, Delaware. He was appointed by Gov. Jack Markell in January of 2013 to replace Judge Eric M. Davis. He was confirmed by the State Senate in January 2013.[1] Danberg's current term expires in 2025.[2][3]

Education

Danberg received his undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware and his J.D. from the Widener University School of Law.[4]

Career

Danberg is a former Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General for the Delaware Department of Justice. He then worked as the commissioner for the Delaware Department of Correction from 2007 until he was appointed to the Court of Common Pleas in 2013.

Danberg also teaches at the University of Delaware and is a Lt. Colonel in the Judge Advocate General’s Corp of the Delaware Army National Guard. From 1987 to 1991, he worked as an Assistant Treasurer for Citizens for Biden and as an Assistant Compliance Officer for Biden for President.[2][4]
