Carl J. Stich, Jr. was a judge on the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was appointed to the court by Republican Governor John Kasich in March 2013 to fill the vacancy created by Judge Pat DeWine's election to the Ohio First District Court of Appeals. Stich's term began on April 12, 2013, and he had to run in the November 2014 election in order to obtain a full six-year term.[1] Stich was defeated in his bid for election to the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas in the general election on November 4, 2014, and stepped down from the bench in December 2014.[2][3]

General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 46 percent of the vote. He competed against Pat Foley. [2]

Stich received his B.S. in accounting from the University of Kentucky in 1976 and his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1980.[4]
