2016

The following issues were listed on Magee's campaign website. For a full list of campaign themes, click here.

  • Illegal Immigration: There needs to be a multi-prong approach to solving the immigration problem. First and foremost we MUST shut down the border. Secondly, we must remove the "carrot" that brings illegals here. How? You make it financially devastating for an American employer to hire an illegal. First and second offenses would be huge monetary fines. Third offense incarceration.
  • 2nd Amendment and Gun Control: Being an ex Police Officer you can imagine that I have very strong feelings about gun control. And I actually do. I believe that good gun control is absolutely critical for anyone that wants to hit the bulls eye of a target at least 8 out of ten times.
  • Political Correctness: Well America, what are we offended by today? Our country has become an overly sensitive bunch of panzies. We seem to forget that we have the freedom to not listen to something. We have the freedom to not taste something. We have the freedom to not look at something. We have the freedom to not do something. So if something "offends" you..... don't look at it. Don't taste it. Don't listen to it. Or don't do it.
  • Voter ID: I can hear the haters now. You are trying to stop the poor from voting! Well, nothing could be further from the truth. Folks we live in a country where you need an Id to get a pack of cigarettes. You need an ID to get a fishing license. You need an ID to get a beer. You need an ID for almost EVERYTHING...... except to vote?
  • Seniors and Veterans: Well, Mahatma Gandhi said that you tell a lot about a civilization by how they treat their very old and their very young. Well, Gandhi wouldn't think much of us right now. Being a Medicare broker and Advocate for Seniors I can tell you from personal experience that it is barbaric the way we treat seniors in this country.
