Carl Rollins, II
Carl Rollins, II (b. August 4, 1947) is a former Democratic member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing District 56 from 2007 to 2013. He resigned on April 24 to become executive director of the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority.[1]
Rollins was a Magistrate from 1999-2007, Mayor of the City of Midway from 1990-1994 and 1996-1998, and on the Midway City Council from 1986-1990.
Rollins is the Vice President for State Relations for the Student Loan People/Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority. He has previously served as Director of Community Education at Woodford County Public Schools, Director of Admissions at Midway College, and Owner of Ashland Oil Distributorship.[2]

2012
Rollins won re-election in the 2012 election for Kentucky House of Representatives District 56. He defeated Jerry L. Atwood in the Democratic primary on May 22, 2012, and defeated Douglass Jones (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[4][5]

2010
Rollins' opponent in the November 2 general election was Republican candidate Lyen Crews. According to official results, Rollins defeated Crews by a margin of 8,590 to 7,846.[6]

Rollins ran unopposed in the May 18 Democratic primary election.[7]
2008
On November 4, 2008, Rollins was re-elected to the 56th District Seat in the Kentucky House of Representatives with no opposition.[8] He raised $27,298 for his campaign.[9]
