Expand all | Collapse all

I'm a Columbus native. I am running to address the many issues facing Georgia today, with the COVID-19 outbreak and its impacts in our communities as the first and foremost matter.
  • Extending financial aid to all Georgians impacted by the coronavirus
  • Expand Medicare coverage and make healthcare more affordable in Georgia; expanded Medicare would help several rural hospitals stay open
  • Expand our state's clean energy production through wind and solar and ensure the Vogtle nuclear expansion is completed
I believe in a housing-first solution to homelessness. I support a UBI for all Americans, especially now as the country faces the worst economic collapse since the Great Depression. I support raising the state minimum wage to $12/hour by Jan. 1st, 2024. I want to open Georgia's coast to off-shore wind production with regional cooperation with the Carolinas and Florida. I want to fix our state's dilapidated infrastructure. I want to lower college and tech school costs. I want to repeal the fetal heartbeat bill. I plan on reintroducing the bill to ban "conversion therapy". I want to expand Medicare as a part of the ACA and help get more Georgians insured. Doing that will also help fund struggling rural hospitals throughout our state. I support expanded broadband funding through out the state. I want to help our farmers who were hit by trade tariffs and then also negatively impacted by the coronavirus outbreak. I want to decriminalize recreational marijuana use. I want to expand rehab treatments for those addicted to opiods, meth, and other drugs. Supportive of feasible high-speed rail routes through the state and our regional partners. I support making election days into state holidays to give people more time to participate in our democratic process as well as in favor of expanding mail-in ballot access. I support automatic voter registration system tied into the process of issuing driver licenses and ID cards.
Honesty, transparency, leadership, and professionalism.
Working on behalf of the people - not themselves. Elected officials must be held accountable for what they do or fail to do.
I want to leave the world a better place. No one on this world was born to only benefit themselves.
One of the earliest "historic" events I can remember is watching the 1996 Olympic Games and watching the news after the bombing.
"Bounce" by Talib Kweli and DJ Okawari
Recovering from the current economic collapse is the greatest challenge we face.
The legislature has to use responsible oversight of the governor's actions.
If I could pick, I would be interested in the Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications committee, the Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications committee, or Technology & Science committee.
