Biography

Carlos Rafael Cruz was born in Manhattan, New York, New York. Cruz served in the U.S. Navy from 1988 to 2000. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Phoenix in 2008. Cruz's career experience includes working as a licensed real estate agent in California, with a technology based consulting company, and with a creative marketing and communications company.[1]

Carlos is an everyday American who knows what it's like to work several jobs just to make ends meet. At times he has needed to rely on the safety net of unemployment during the crash of 2000 and 2008. He has also experienced the reward of his successes with his consulting and media production small business. Carlos' drive is based on his passion, willingness to persevere when the work is challenging, and a determination and drive to succeed. Being of Puerto Rican descent, Carlos understands the importance of family and having a strong and healthy close-knit community.

Carlos is committed to finding solutions to the issues we face as Californians. He will fight for balanced budgets that prioritize spending toward education, public safety, and infrastructure.

We need effective leadership that will stand up for our rights in the region. Carlos does have the right background to be that champion.

The residents of District 28 need a leader with real-world experience who understands how we live. We do not need someone who was raised as a politician who is part of the very system that is failing us.

Carlos is running to help build a stronger and safer California. On November 3rd, vote for a better tomorrow by voting for Carlos.

Provide minimal government intervention in relation to the economy. I believe individuals should be free to participate in open the market and generate wealth with minimal government interference or regulations. The State should do all it can to protect the civil liberties and security of its residents. I will support and defend for the rule of law, private property, the market economy and functioning constitutional representative government.
My honest towards political office builds a foundation to evoke confidence and respect from those around me. My compassion gives me the understanding there are others who are suffering and I am able to see the needs of others and will do my best to determine the best course of action to benefit them. My integrity will be on display and my constituents will be able to trust me because I will never veers from my inner values. I have the confidence I will act faithfully toward my beliefs I will act in a right, proper, or effective way. I understand the flexibility needed to be able to listen to all sides and to learn what it will take to learn from them in order to move forward.
- Ensuring California remains a worldwide agriculture leader and the state's farmers continue to feed the nation and world.

- Proper investments to help stimulate more jobs and a comprehensive tax reform to incentivize growth.

- Improve the quality of K-12 education and increase the affordability of higher education.
Governor have the opportunity to provide a vision and direction for the State to focus on. Also to work with the legislature to create sound laws which will benefit the people, the state, and the industries within.
Relationships with legislators will provide the opportunities to get bills introduced, assist in drafting bill language, shape the debate and get legislation signed into law.
