I was born and raised in maine. I grew up in Lewiston and Freeport most of my life. I enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, fishing and hunting or target practice. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I enjoy watching movies and listening to music and finding new hobbies or activities that I may enjoy. I was raised to be brave and speak the truth and do my best to be polite while speaking the truth. I love and appreciate my country. Not just as a woman but a person in this world. I dislike things about my government and I am concerned about my government's actions towards the people.
  • I will always be honest with the constituents if I am elected. I will always do research with what information is out there and speak on both sides in order to get a full picture as to the issues that are at hand. Whether they may directly affect individuals in the state of Massachusetts or specifically to constituents in a local area such as 9th Middlesex.
  • I believe everyone should have a form of self-defense for themselves and their family. I believe with education and training that everyone would have a different perspective of firearms and why they are vital to our way of life for self-defense against any person or entity of government that may want to abuse authority or anyone that could become violent towards another individual. This country was founded on arms and ammunitions to defend their freedom and liberties that were given to them by God. I believe the reason why people dislike Firearms is because they kill more people quickly compared to other items used to harm another person. That is a fact nobody talks about and I'm willing to talk about.
  • I believe everyone should have more money in their pocket. Giving more money to problems does not fix the problems. Government has taken too much money from the people and has misinformed or directly lied to the people as to what the taxes are for and where the money is being spent. I believe that if we the people get into government we would have a opportunity to open the books and see where our money is going and how it is being spent and how we can recalculate the cost of problems that are in our cities. Whether it is Paving roads and sidewalks, maintenancing traffic lights and traffic signs as well as providing necessary resources to those that are disabled or are on fixed income and elderly.
Reducing taxes. Protecting bodily autonomy. Restricting government authority.
The ability to vote yay or nay on bills that will affect the people of the state or a local District. The decisions that members of government make affect the people. Members of government are not exempt from their own policies and they too should feel the effects of their decisions of voting yay or nay on a bill.
My grandfather Roger Downs senior and my Aunt Vicki (Victoria (Downs) Legere). They both are hard workers. My grandfather was a butcher and he opened his own butcher shop/ grocery store on Main Street in freeport. Later on he sold the business and divided the stores into 3 individual shops and he became a landlord. My Aunt Vicki because she is a good person that didn't get into trouble or have a substance abuse issue. She went to college, graduated and paid off her debt. She found a good man that became her husband and they had 2 children together and they have a beautiful home. Between the 2 of them I believe they are the reasons why I too am a hard worker, i don't have a substance abuse problem and why I waited a little longer than most to build my own family. They may have had bumps in their roads and they may have made wrong decisions that I'm not aware of. Overall they are good people and are contributing members of society. I'm proud they're my family. Even if we disagree on politics haha.
Anything that has to do with American history or is in support of American Pride (movies, songs and books). I have a love and appreciation for this country as a women in this world. I wouldn't want to know any other way of life other than being an American woman. Yes America has its flaws and the principles of our country is to form a more perfect union. Civility and compromise is how we move forward until more wrinkles can be ironed out while forming that perfect union.
I think bravery and firm honesty is necessary for standing on principles that are self-evident because they already exist by their nature. It takes bravery and honesty to stand up for a principles even if those principles do not pertain or directly affect them. Getting into government is about the people not about the elected official. Many of them forget that or they never thought of that before they got into government. I hope to make a change with that.
I know how the average citizen lives paycheck to paycheck. I know the struggles of living by simple means in order to save money and how life events happen that may set you back on your goals and how you dig deep and continue to prosper despite the setbacks life throws at you. I am a blue collar worker and that is the only way of life I know. That is why I believe I will be a good member in government for the American worker that has lived their life the same way I did.
Doing what is right and not what they think is right. There is a difference and people in government forget what is right versus what they think is right. Some people in government may think it's right for schools to not inform parents of issues that their child is facing in school. What is right is for schools to inform the parents of issues that are facing their children while in school. No one has authority over a child than their parent. Parents must be informed first and foremost no matter what the student is facing while in school.
That I was Brave, firm and bold. The last thing I'm going to try to achieve is perfection because I know that I'm not perfect. I acknowledge and Perfections within myself as well as others and even government operations.
My very first job was Subway in Freeport maine at 17 years old. I was a sandwich artist and I worked there I believe 2 years.
I don't have a favorite book. My favorite movies are grumpy and grumpier Old Men with Jack Lemon and Walter Matthau.
Working hard never seeming to get ahead. Living paycheck to paycheck and having difficulty to save money for bigger goals. Just like every American that is a blue collar worker it is tiring to work so hard and not see much of a reward with that hard work.
Voting on bills. The decisions of the elected officials affect the constituents that voted them into the position of power. They should not be exempt from their own policies and they should live on a salary in which their constituents live as well. It's only when they have personal experience that they truly understand the struggles of their constituents.
They have the ability to vote yay or nay on bills that directly affect local constituents in their District as well as potentially Statewide. The decisions made by members of government do affect the people and members of government should feel the effects of those decisions. Only when people are directly affected is when they realize the results of their decisions or choices.
Similar to a job previous experience is helpful. That does not mean someone cannot enter into a job on Entry level. The same is for government. Not many people have previous experience in government before they get into government. Our founding fathers had no experience in government and yet they built our country.
It may not necessarily be skills or expertise that are needed in order to be a productive member of government. I believe how we grow up and the choices we make in life are all the skills and expertise that people need to understand what it's like to live with policies set by previous members of government. Nobody knows best how to live in this country with policies that apply to them that members of government do not necessarily understand how they affect the citizens within the territory. Whether that is local or statewide there are people in this world that know the struggle of working paycheck to paycheck and not having enough to get out of poverty or to even be comfortable even having so much less compared to other households in their neighborhood or another parts of their state.
Hi. My name is Pubert. Puberty, but you can call me Pub.

I learned that home in 6th grade haha.
No member of government should be lobbying after they have served in government and no immediate family member of government should be able to have stock or trade in stock either. If our system works the way it does then every member and immediate family member of government that has been found guilty with due process of wrongdoing then they should be accountable just as any other citizen would if they had done wrong not being in government. If a crime is a crime then no one of any class or financial stature should be exempt. Family names should not play a role in judgment of due process for accountability and judgment to be rendered.
I support the people. It is in our constitution and our Declaration of Independence that we the people have the right to form government. We the people hold the ultimate Authority. With anything there are potential loopholes and forms of manipulation and abuse. As it is with anything that is legal or pertaining to Citizens directly. Democracy where majority votes and agrees to apply a law or a regulation that pertains to a specific District or Statewide. If we truly believe in democracy we should support the people's ability to have ultimate Authority despite elected officials being in charge. When Authority fails on a federal and state level the right of the people have the authority to do what's necessary. It's already in our founding documents but not many people understand how to apply that process.
