We need someone who understand our needs as a parent, as a business owner or employee and as a member of our community. What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I am passionate about protecting our rights and freedom in this great country. Public policy issues that will be important to me are trade and commerce laws that will allow more small businesses to be successful, removing the burdensome laws and regulations that keep businesses grounded. Making sure trade and economic policy are positioned well for American small business owners which is the engine of our great country. I am very passionate about protecting our fundamental rights in this country, including the right to bear arms, and religious freedom. Neither should ever be compromised. Healthcare policy will be very important to me as we move forward with an aging population, we must insure that that America continues to have the best healthcare systems in the world.

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

The NASA Challenger explosion

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

My first job was working with Charles Schwab as a trading consultant, starting as a stock broker.

What qualities does the U.S. House of Representatives possess that makes it unique as an institution?

What makes the US House of Representatives unique as an institution as that it serves as the checks and balances of our country. An equal branch with executive branch that passes laws and controls the checkbook.

Do you believe that it's beneficial for representatives to have previous experience in government or politics?

I think it can be beneficial, but not necessary.

What do you perceive to be the United States’ greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?

The shift towards socialism and reclaiming our educational system. Preserving our American values.

Do you believe that two years is the right term length for representatives?

Yes

What are your thoughts on term limits?

The term limits should be decided by the voters every two years.
