Carmen Kelsey was the judge of the 289th District Court in Texas.[1] She lost her bid for re-election in 2014.[2] 

Education

Kelsey received a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, going on to earn her J.D. there as well. She was admitted to the bar in 1981.[3]

Primary: She ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on March 4, 2014.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 49.0 percent of the vote. She competed against Daphne Previti Austin. [2][4][5]

Kelsey was re-elected to the 289th District Court after running unopposed.[6]
