Campaign themes

2014

In response to a survey published by WLKY, Haddad answered several questions outlining her campaign themes and vision.

List 3 reasons voters should elect you:
  1. I listen and promptly respond to the concerns of the entire community, not just District 6.
  2. I am fiscally conservative. I have held the line on spending and property taxes.
  3. In a system as vast as JCPS, stability and continuity are valuable assets.

What are the most important issues facing JCPS?

One of the most important issues facing JCPS is the achievement gap. We are working towards closing the achievement gap so all kids can graduate prepared for college or a career. By supporting great teaching and providing support for struggling kids, we are closer to our goal.

Another important issue facing JCPS is the continuing implementation and oversight of the recommendations from the JCPS-requested state audit.

Another important issue facing JCPS is ensuring that all JCPS teachers have the support, resources, and guidance they need to help every child succeed.

What is your vision for education in this community?

My vision is that all kids can succeed in public schools regardless of their background. By having successful students, it will ensure a bright future for our community.[4]
