Carol Huebner Medawar
Carol Huebner Medawar was a candidate for George Washington District representative on the Stafford County School Board in Virginia. She was defeated in the general election on November 3, 2015.[1]
Biography
Medawar earned a B.S. from West Virginia University and a master's degree in instructional technology from George Mason University. She worked as a teacher in the district from 1996 until she resigned in June 2015 to seek a board seat. At the time of her candidacy, Medawar worked as a math specialist in Fauquier County. She has previously served as a treasurer for the Stafford Education Association and a board member of the Virginia Education Association.[2]

The Stafford County School Board is a seven-member board elected by district to staggered four-year terms. The seats of George Washington District incumbent Dewayne McOsker Jr., Griffis-Widewater District incumbent Dana Reinboldt and Rock Hill District incumbent Patricia Healy were up for election on November 3, 2015.[3]McOsker defeated challengers Carol Huebner Medawar and Donna Oliver for the George Washington District seat. Emily Fallon defeated incumbent Reinboldt for the Griffis-Widewater District seat, while board member Healy won re-election to the Rock Hill District seat against newcomer Dean Fetterolf.
