Carol Kent (Texas)
Carol Kent is a former Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives, representing District 102 from 2009-2011. She also serves on the Richardson Independent School District Board of Trustees.
Kent works as Director of The Baylor Network. She has previously worked as Campaign Director Chair for Vote Yes! Political Action Committee - Richardson Independent School District Bond, Lecturer of Communications Studies at Baylor University, Public Information Officer at Irving Independent School District, and Adjunct Faculty at Richland College.[1]

2010
Kent lost re-election in District 102 in 2010. She was unopposed in the March 2 Democratic primary and was defeated by Republican Stefani Carter in the November 2 general election.[6]

On November 4, 2008, Kent won election to the Texas House of Representatives from the 102nd District, receiving 21,675 votes ahead of Republican Tony Goolsby (19,210).[7] She raised $528,746 for her campaign; Goolsby raised $541,118.[8]
