Primary: She was successful in the primary on June 3, 2014, receiving 27.59 percent of the vote. She competed against Daniel A. Flores and Kimberly Toney Williams.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 40.3 percent of the vote. She competed against Daniel A. Flores.

Kingsley earned her J.D. from Golden Gate University Law School.[3]
Career
Kingsley works as a mediator. Prior to that she was a lawyer in private practice.[3]
