I am the current Board of Education member representing District C and the Vice-President of the Board. I was appointed by the Harford County Council in February 2020 around two weeks before the schools closed for the pandemic. I have worked as a teacher in public and private schools, and as a professor at the community college. Student success has been my focus and I have worked in Developmental Education helping underprepared students be successful in higher education. This experience gives me a unique perspective that can aid in the design of recovery from the learning loss some students experience during the closures. Both of my children graduated from HCPS. I have lived in Bel Air for 23 years and my husband and I are active members of the community.
  • We need to make sure that the children remain safe while at school. This is a community effort requiring partnerships with the parents and law enforcement.
  • The mental well being of our students needs to remain in the forefront of our designs.
  • Students need life skills such as financial literacy to be successful in life.
Our students, staff and faculty need to be funded properly for our school system to prosper..
