Carol Stephan
Carol Stephan (b. July 21, 1961) is a former member and chair of the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission. She served on the commission from March 3, 2014, until January 1, 2017.[1]
Stephan was appointed to the commission by Gov. Mike Pence on March 3, 2014, to fill one of two seats left vacant following the resignations of former commissioners Kari Bennett and Larry Landis.[2] Stephan was appointed chair of the commission by Gov. Pence on May 20, 2014.[3]
Biography
Prior to her appointment to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, Stephan worked as assistant general counsel for the commission. She also worked as the general counsel, director of case management, and ethics officer for the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor, which advocates for consumers who deal with the commission.[3]
