Carol White-Richard is a judge of the Fourth Judicial District (Place 3) in Mississippi. She was elected in a runoff election on November 25, 2014, to a term that expires in 2018.[1][2]

White-Richard ran for election to the Fourth Judicial District.
White-Richard received 43.3 percent of the votes in the general election. Because no candidate received over 50 percent of the vote, White-Richard and Takiyah H. Perkins, who received the most votes in the general election, competed in a runoff election on November 25, 2014. White-Richard defeated Perkins in the runoff, bringing in 54.2 percent of the vote to Perkins' 45.8%.[2] 

Education

White-Richard earned her undergraduate degree from Tulane University and her J.D. from Vanderbilt School of Law.[3]

Career

As of 2014, White-Richard has over seventeen years of experience as an attorney in private practice. She currently serves as public defender for Sunflower County and runs a private law practice with her husband, Bennie Richard. She was admitted to the practice of law in Tennessee in 1996 and Mississippi in 1997.[3][3]
