Deal ran for election to the 16th Judicial District.
Primary: She was defeated in the primary on November 4, 2014, receiving 9.3 percent of the vote. She competed against Lori Landry and Alicia Johnson Butler.

Education
Deal received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a J.D. degree from the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. She received her master's degree from both the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law and the University of Salzburg in Austria.[3]
Career
Deal is an attorney in private practice in New Iberia, Louisiana.[3]
