The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was May 28, 2014. Carolyn Vasko was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Representative Debbie Lesko was unopposed in the Republican primary. Lesko defeated Vasko in the general election.[2][3][4][5]
