Branagan (Republican Party, Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Vermont House of Representatives to represent Franklin-1 District. She won in the general election on November 5, 2024. She advanced from the Republican primary on August 13, 2024. She advanced as a write-in from the Democratic primary on August 13, 2024.
Biography
Carolyn Whitney Branagan was born in Windsor, Vermont, and lives in Georgia, Vermont. Branagan earned a B.S. in 1976 and an M.Ed. in 1982, both from the University of Vermont. Her career experience includes working as an elementary school teacher and principal. Branagan served on the Town of Georgia school board, the selectboard, and as town moderator. Branagan also volunteered for the Franklin County home health board, the University of Vermont board of trustees, and the boards of the Georgia Historical Society and the Vermont State Historical Society.[1]

Incumbent Carolyn Whitney Branagan was unopposed in the Republican primary.[6] Branagan was unopposed in the general election.[7]
