Carrie Coppernoll Jacobs was a member of the Oklahoma City Public Schools school board, representing District 3. Jacobs assumed office in 2016. Jacobs left office in 2022.

Jacobs won re-election to the Oklahoma City Public Schools school board to represent District 3 outright in the general election on April 7, 2020, after the primary and general election were canceled.

Coppernoll Jacobs is a writer with BigWing Interactive but has worked as a reporter and columnist with The Oklahoman, and also as a high school journalism teacher. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in journalism from The University of Arkansas and is married with two small children enrolled in Oklahoma City Public Schools.[1][2][3]

Incumbent Carrie Coppernoll Jacobs was the only candidate to file and won the position by default when the election was canceled.

2016

Two of the eight seats on the Oklahoma City Public Schools school board were up for general election on February 9, 2016. District 3 incumbent Philip Horning did not file to seek re-election. Two candidates vied to replace him: Carrie Coppernoll Jacobs and Adam Zodrow. District 4 incumbent Laura Massenat filed the paperwork to seek re-election on December 7, 2015, but officially withdrew her candidacy on December 12, 2015. Due to this lack of opposition candidate Paula Lewis did not appear on the ballot and was automatically elected.[4]
