Carrie Coyner (Republican Party) is a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 75. She assumed office on January 10, 2024. Her current term ends on January 14, 2026.

Coyner (Republican Party) is running for re-election to the Virginia House of Delegates to represent District 75. She is on the ballot in the general election on November 4, 2025.[source] The Republican primary for this office on June 17, 2025, was canceled.

Coyner is the former Bermuda District representative on the Chesterfield County School Board in Virginia. Coyner sought another term in the general election on November 3, 2015.[1] Carrie Coyner won the general election on November 3, 2015. Coyner did not file to run for re-election in 2019.

Biography

Carrie Coyner was born in Richmond, Virginia. She earned a B.A. from the University of Virginia in 2002 and a J.D. in 2005 from the University of Richmond School of Law. Her career experience includes working as an attorney. Coyner served on the Chesterfield County School Board from 2011 to 2019.[2]

Opposition

The Chesterfield County School Board is a five-member board elected by district to serve staggered four-year terms. All five seats were up for election on November 3, 2015.

John Erbach defeated fellow challenger Michael Jackson for the Dale District seat vacated by board member David Wyman. Rob Thompson defeated Bill Hastings Jr. to replace Thomas Doland in Matoaca District.

Incumbents Carrie Coyner and Dianne Smith and newcomer Javaid Siddiqi ran unopposed and won the Bermuda District, Clover Hill District and Midlothian District seats, respectively. Midlothian District board member Debra Girvin also did not file for re-election.
