This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $27.2 million in order to help pay for remodeling and furnishing classrooms, updating technology at the schools as well as improving facility sites including the athletic fields.[1]
Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
| Shall Carson City-Crystal Area Schools, Montcalm, Gratiot, Ionia and Clinton Counties, Michigan, borrow the sum of not to exceed Twenty-Seven Million Two Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($27,220,000) and issue its general obligation unlimited tax bonds therefore, in one or more series, for the purpose of:erecting, furnishing and equipping additions to the existing upper elementary/middle school/high school, in part to consolidate to a single facility campus; partially remodeling, furnishing and refurnishing, equipping and re-equipping school facilities; acquiring, installing and equipping technology for educational purposes; constructing, equipping, developing and improving athletic/physical education facilities, play fields and playgrounds; and developing and improving the sites?[2][3] |
