Carte Goodwin
Carte Goodwin was a Democratic member of the U.S. Senate from the state of West Virginia. Carte was appointed to the senate in July of 2010 by then-Governor Joe Manchin to fill the seat of Senator Robert C. Byrd, who had died while in office. Manchin would go on to claim the senate seat himself in the November election later that year.[1]
