Two of the seven seats on the Waco Independent School District school board were scheduled for general election on May 6, 2017. However, the election was canceled due to lack of opposition. Place 7 incumbent Cary DuPuy and District 3 incumbent Larry Perez were automatically re-elected.[1][2]

DuPuy was automatically re-elected.
