2016

The following issues were listed on Stockham's campaign website. For a full list of campaign themes, click here.

  • Economy and Jobs: Jobs drive our economy. Good paying jobs help us provide for ourselves and our families. Most people are un aware that small businesses and jobs are the back bone of our economy. When small and medium size businesses are doing well we as a country do very well.
  • Health Care/Obama Care: This partisan legislation is hurting small businesses and creating tremendous economic uncertainty. Obama Care is causing millions of Americans to lose their health insurance and often their full time jobs. I want to protect the American people from the damaging effects of this law.
  • Education: As a father and a graduate of the public school system, I am passionate about improving our schools and taking care of our teachers. I have a front row seat to see how schools are performing in the private and public system. I support school choice, which returns more decision making power to the parents, and also enhances academic excellence. I believe education decisions should be made at the state level not the federal level.
  • National Defense: Our nation’s defense should be the number one issue of any election. Securing the border is essential to our security and defense and must be a primary focus of our government. If we are not capable of defending America from terrorism and nuclear attack, every other issue becomes a moot point.
  • Second Amendment: As a veteran and a constitutional conservative I am a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. One of our greatest freedoms is the right to protect ourselves from those who would cause us harm. This Freedom is so important that our Founding Fathers declared it as our Second Amendment Right following Freedom of Speech, Assembly and Religion. The Second Amendment was not designed to decide what we may use to hunt, but how we may protect ourselves even against the tyranny of overreaching government if need be.
